Holograph Use Case: Chain Specific Properties

Holograph unlocks entirely new use cases for NFTs. Let’s explore an example.

Chain Specific Properties refers to NFT properties that update dynamically based on the chain where it’s currently located.

Simply put:

  • Chain A properties: Hat, Glasses, Scarf

  • Chain B properties: Hair, Shirt, Belt

  • Chain C properties: Mustache, backpack, shoes

Here’s an example:

  • Mint NFT on Polygon, NFT reveals common properties

  • Bridge NFT to Ethereum

  • NFT reveals different common properties

  • Bridge NFT to Avalanche

  • NFT reveals rare properties

  • Sell rare NFT on NFTrade

Developers could create unique omnichain games that modify NFT properties based on the chain they're traded. Chain specific marketplaces could emerge to enable NFT trading with properties that can only exist on a particular chain.
